Texanische Kartoffel Suppe
Für 6 Personen
500 ml Wasser
6 mittelgroße Kartoffeln
4 EL Butter
1 mittelgroße Zwiebel
2-3 EL Mehl
1 Ei
Salz und Peffer nach belieben.


1. Peel and cut potatoes in bite-sized pieces. Boil in salted water till soft. Save all water!
2. When potatoes are nearly done, melt butter in pan, add chopped onion and flour. Saute' until golden brown.
3. Then add some of the potatoe water and cook for 2 minutes.
4. Pour into pot with the rest of the potatoes and water. Mix and heat thoroughly.
5. Beat egg and then add slowly to soup while stirring. Cook till egg is done.
